Moon Revolution

Sicily, April 16, 1677. The viceroy Carlos III appoints his wife Donna Eleonora as his successor before his sudden death. Donna Eleonora faces many plots from the city bishop and corrupt council members who oppose her rule, so she uses her wit and bravery to uncover their crimes, and seeks to implement several measures to change the lives of the residents of Palermo who suffer from poverty and misery. The great Italian writer Andrea Camilleri addresses this exceptional historical event that lasted only twenty-seven days — that is, one lunar cycle — in a novel characterized by suspense, entertainment, and light-heartedness.
