The author in this book talks about a man who was psychologically traumatized by sulfur due to his father punishing him as a child with matches for a mistake he had made, in addition to suffering significant losses when he was trading in sulfur, which caused him to enter a vortex of psychological issues that persisted in his family and social life. He faced many difficulties, dangers, and pursuits by the police on charges related to the fires he caused, as he would set fires with matches wherever he found them and would go to suspicious places and escape from security checkpoints until he was caught, interrogated, and referred to psychiatric treatment.
