Product description

"Nafula", the orphan girl who came and tasted the bitterness of loss, finds in her past saffron, the wise nation, and the herbal healer, a spiritual compass, and learns from her how to face the fluctuations of life. The weak girl follows a thread of love that leads her from Bedouinism to modernity, transforming into a mature woman feeling her destiny. "Ser Alza'faranah" beats with an enchanting feminine spirit, an exceptional journey through worlds blending the desert with the city, and her dreams are etched deep in local memory. In spontaneous women’s gatherings, the scent of saffron wafts, stories are born, memory is embodied, and secrets of life and death are revealed. But; is everything a child sees truly real, or do memory and imagination weave this secret? This novel is not just a story; it is an exploration of the strength of women, sisterhood, and the search for meaning in a world that mixes reality with fantasy. Badriya Al Bashir; a Saudi writer and novelist holding a PhD in sociology philosophy, has published several intellectual books, stories, and novels, including "Gharamiyat Street Al-Ashaa", which reached the long list of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (Booker) and was turned into a series of the same name. Some of her works have been translated into English, German, French, and Italian. She is known for writing a column for thirty years in various local and Arab newspapers and received the Arab Journalism Award for the best column. She also presented a social television program on MBC channel and participated in the membership of several Arab awards, including the Saudi Golden Pen Award and the Sheikh Zayed Award Scientific Committee.
