In her novel "Danish, a Boy from Ruins," novelist Suad Rashid Al-Kaabi raises the childhood question from within the narrative, and her pen explores what can be called a vast panorama of absurdity and chaos that dominates our contemporary world, which victimizes children who have no guilt other than being in countries that do not respect childhood. As the character ... Danish the boy in the novel surpasses the borders of India to become a public issue revealing the violation of the world of childhood in most societies of the world, especially the poor, and to raise the voice loudly against all conspirators against children of the world and their future. The novel says: It is the story of the boy "Danish" who is twelve years old, with dark skin, green eyes, black hair, and a slim body, living in one of the poor Indian areas, where Danish lives with his mother "Rafina," his father "Fakhir," and his younger sister "Vidia," who is nine years old. This "Danish" is a boy whose childhood life has been taken from him, and left him without return after losing his parents at an early age. Therefore, Danish suffered from poverty and deprivation, but he did not give up because he decided to be a man, a little man... and reconciled with his reality. For this, he began his journey of struggle early, working, traveling, and striving, and he achieved his dreams, but after setbacks, the most painful of which was losing the one he loved with all his heart... Life has not left him to end his story as he wishes, but it has ended it for him!! Suad Rashid Al-Kaabi says about her novel: "The character of my novel, the boy or perhaps the hero Danish; the hero of the struggles of the poor to earn a living. Its events are written with all the feelings of sorrow, the story of a poor man fighting for his family; for a decent life. My hero, Danish, you are the most beautiful thing I have written on these pages, you are my pen’s poor, and I am the poor of fairness; because despite what I will write, I will not do justice to the suffering of the poor. Danish is a name of Indian origin, meaning the distinguished 'the distinguished person.' The reason for choosing the name is because it expresses what I hold towards this novel. I wanted it to be special, as my novel narrates the life of a poor boy and everything he will go through of hardship, fatigue, burden, injustice, harsh life. I wanted it to carry within it the suffering of the poor, the harshness of days, the injustice of tyrants, the failure of dreams. I wanted it to be special; like the name Danish, and I hope you like it, dear readers." Author: Suad Rashid Al-Kaabi Number of pages: 175 Arabian World Publishers
