The village of the seven sins

In the year 1589, the priest and demonologist Peter Binsfield linked all the major sins to Satan, who is believed to be responsible for summoning evil in people. Seven different stories revolve around a remote village, where the condition of all its inhabitants deteriorates, and the village itself is gradually destroyed, overtaken by cold and hunger. The stories can be read in any order, without affecting their understanding, but they are connected in a complex way, so that at the end of reading, the stories converge in one surprising and remarkable outcome.
