Now my life has begun

Suddenly, before his migration with his wife to America, the successful Syrian lawyer Yusuf dies. Did he commit suicide, or was he murdered, or was his death an accident of fate? The police investigate those around him: his close friend Eyas, his family friend Lina, his wife Rima, and her mother… and through the novel, which takes place over one day, we discover unexpected surprises, and a society that hides more than it reveals. A novel about friendship and deception, about the illusion of urgency and waiting, depicting a troubled world in a time of the death of freedom.
