Dear Zamzam, I hope that your paper is more abundant and your generosity wider. How is the homeland now? Surely it has become more beautiful! How is everyone there? How does dear Jibreel spend his time? And how are Israfil, Mikail, Azrael, and all the loved ones? How is the Lord? I miss the closeness, oh Zamzam, and nothing I found since I descended has alleviated my longing. Sometimes, I envy you for your polite nature that ensured your stay close, then I remember that envy stems from a resentful soul, so I tame it and it becomes envy. I believe there is no danger from my envy for you, oh angel of relief! Nothing has eased my pain here except the presence of Adam. He truly deserved your prostration! I think I could not continue without him, even though he was like me, a stranger from his homeland, descended from his status, but it seems that our Lord placed in his heart great mercy; his embrace of me was always wider than all the earth’s distress.
