The leap

A normal Tuesday morning in a small town. Manu, a young woman, stands on the roof of a residential building. It is unknown how she got there or what she intends to do. She screams, very angry, and throws objects at the spectators gathered in the street to film the scene with their mobile phones, the journalists looking for news, and the firefighters trying to help her. The police suspect that Manu intends to commit suicide. The city holds its breath all day and night. After that, nothing will be the same for everyone whose life intersects with Manu's. A lively novel about a remarkable woman, and about the fates we pass through, biased or oblivious. With much feeling and humor, Swiss writer Simona Laubert tells about the fragile balance in our lives today.
