Beyond the footsteps of the ancestors

About the book: The methodology we relied on in this book necessitates silence regarding the future; if we say that modern processes never cease to develop and renew, and if these modernization processes themselves are in constant progress, then predicting the future does not seem feasible. Especially since those concerned with foresight rely on the present and the current to glimpse the horizons of all that is coming and new, so how if this reality is excessively evolving and changing?! Foresight of the future amid a flowing, layered modernity is one of the most difficult tasks. However, what we can assert, and perhaps this is the only thing our methodological tools allow, is that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the subject of reflection and consideration, will continue on its path toward modernity, and perhaps in the medium and near terms, will witness more remarkable modernization processes. Not only that, but it seems to the perceptive observer that Saudi Arabia will move toward a more humane and sustainable future. It is true that humans, as humans, are the kingdom’s top priority, but it will also continue to equip itself with all the tools and knowledge that help it control the realities of the future and adapt effectively to them.
