Goethe launched in this unique work from his personal background as an artist and writer who deals with sensory data as aesthetic elements, not purely gray appearances, in order to address and discuss Newton's conception which encouraged the emergence of a reductive physical climate, attempting to deconstruct perceived phenomena instead of dealing with them as an integrated entity, and stripping the subjective and sensory aspect of any scientific value even in the world of physiology. The writers who addressed Goethe's theory of colors had limited their observations to those parts in which he explained the colors of the spectrum of the prism as well as reflection colors based on principles different from Newton's traditional theory. As for the features that have not received much discussion in this research, and which are characterized by a coherent structure of observations and experiments, many of which are important and striking, they have been largely neglected until now. Therefore, it was more appropriate to present the entire work without any modification, because some scientific readers may be driven by curiosity to listen to the author himself revealing his opinion regarding the less prominent points more than their eagerness to read what has previously reached their ears.
