Child of the thunder

Who is that giant that sits on her shoulders? Why did this black beast choose her over others in the village? Why does it paralyze her limbs and tongue, and only disappears when thunder comes and lifts her to where light erases all confusion with darkness? The girl of thunder does not understand where the people of Dierzofa derive that skill in inventing stories that approach legends, and how the unseen hijacks the truth, and imagination overcomes logic? When she started asking and searching for answers, she discovered that the giant itself has brothers and children who crouch on the shoulders of men and women in her village... and farther.
