If a stranger looked from the rooftops of the mud houses after sunrise today; he would imagine that a flock of the Dori crows had settled on the damp sands of the coast. Necks stretched toward the blue horizon, and eyes searching ahead for something coming from afar. However, the Dira knows of only individual crows, not flocks, sneaking onto the anchored trading ships in Indian ports, and slipping between bags of spices, grains, and tea, traveling with the ships in their journey to the Dira, finding themselves strange infiltrators in foreign lands. And they stay on the eastern coast for months, searching for the sailing of the merchant ships again to India. There are no crows in the Dira. Only a few crows.
