How to Use

1. Stake the torch into the soil in the desired spot, or mount it on a wall using the included mounting poles.
2. Before charging, make sure the power on/off switch at the base of the torch pole is turned on.
3. Charge it outdoors for 1 to 2 days before first use for the best performance.
4. Choose a spot that gets enough direct sunlight during the day to charge the battery well, avoiding heavily shaded areas.
5. If you notice reduced battery capacity over time, let the light charge for 3 to 5 consecutive sunny days to help restore it.

How It Differs

Unlike traditional candles or torches that need fuel or pose a real fire hazard, this solar torch offers the look of a dancing flame with complete safety, no real flame, and no need for refueling. Running entirely on solar power also means no wiring or added electricity costs, unlike conventional decorative lighting that relies on mains power.

FAQ

What's the difference between "8 hours" and "8 to 10 hours" mentioned for runtime?

There's a slight inconsistency between the two figures in the supplier's data; this likely reflects variation in actual runtime depending on how fully the battery charged that day and the surrounding temperature. We recommend treating 8 hours as an approximate minimum that may extend under ideal conditions.

What exactly does the IP44 rating mean? Can the torch be left directly in heavy rain?

An IP44 rating generally means the product resists water splashes and dust from multiple angles, but it is not designed for full submersion or continuous exposure to very heavy rain. We recommend placing it somewhere with partial shelter if possible, especially in areas with frequent heavy rainfall.

Does the battery need periodic replacement?

The product information does not specify whether the battery is replaceable or give an expected lifespan in years. If performance drops noticeably over time, we first recommend letting it charge for several consecutive sunny days as described in the How to Use section, and contacting customer service if the issue persists.

Can it be used indoors?

The torch is designed primarily for outdoor use where it can get direct sunlight to charge the battery; using it indoors would prevent effective solar charging, so we recommend placing it in a garden, patio, or other sunny outdoor spot.

What are the warranty details for this product?

The supplier's listing mentions a 2-year warranty; we recommend contacting Ahlam Store customer service to confirm the exact warranty terms and coverage before purchasing.
