Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% - 30g is used on the face or chest or back to treat acne, as the skin may contain many blackheads, spots, and pimples: do not use adapalene if you are pregnant, if you are planning to become pregnant, if you have an allergy to adapalene or any of the other ingredients of this medication: precautions and warnings do not use this medication on areas with wounds or scratches or on skin affected by sunburn or if you have a skin condition called eczema avoid contact with eyes or mouth or nostril corners, and avoid other sensitive areas of the body avoid exposure to strong sunlight and artificial ultraviolet rays if you experience allergy or irritation when using this medication, stop using it and inform your doctor: possible side effects general: may affect up to 1 in 10 people dry skin• skin irritation• burning sensation in the skin• redness of the skin (erythema): other medications and adapalene tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any other medications• other acne products (containing benzoyl peroxide, erythromycin, or clindamycin) can be used with adapalene but should be used in the morning and adapalene at night• cosmetics can be used but should not cause blackheads or dry the skin: how to use adapalene adapalene is only used in adults and teenagers aged 12 years and above this medication is for external use only use adapalene at night before going to bed wash the areas to be treated thoroughly with water. make sure the skin is clean and dry before using this medication apply a thin layer of the ointment with your fingertips on the affected areas and gently rub it in do not forget to wash your hands afterward the duration of using this medication will depend on how quickly your acne improves: how to store adapalene keep this medication out of reach of children do not use this medication after the expiration date printed on the tube and box. the expiration date indicates the last day of that month keep the medication in its original container. do not store above 25 degrees Celsius. do not freeze* the dosage form and method of administration should be prescribed based on the active ingredient and the severity of the disease for each patient separately
