Loro Piana Summer Charms Flat Slide Olive

Summer Charms is the finest and lowest of the house models. There is no thick rubber sole here but a flat leather base, and the strap is a single piece with a shaped cut-out carrying a small metal charm. The Summer Charms slide in olive. The rest of the range sits in Loro Piana.

Fine rather than thick

Thick models give more comfort in walking; fine models give clearer elegance and lightness in a case. Choosing between them is a matter of use rather than taste.

This model sits on the elegance side. It is for anyone who wants a slide worn with a dress rather than with tracksuit trousers.

What we noticed on inspection

The strap is cut from a single piece with no joins, and the shaped cut-out opens space for the instep so it does not press. We noticed the sole is thin but finished underneath with an anti-slip layer, so it is not bare leather. The olive here is wholly matte. Sizing runs true. The Swagyo WhatsApp concierge settles the size before ordering.

What it works with

With linen, khaki, cream and a summer dress. The other colours sit in Loro Piana, or sandals and flats for a wider range.
