The Nights of a Thousand and One Nights - Naguib Mahfouz

Nights of a thousand and one nights, contemporary, and the kingdom of Shahryar, cities of meanings that surge in the imagination of Naguib Mahfouz... and Scheherazade as a symbol withdrawing... sneaking from the past as a name to be Scheherazades and Shahryar to be Shahryars and Scheherazades, and for the story to be the story of every time and every place... happening through oppression... through tyranny and suffering... and Naguib Mahfouz stands behind his lines... and between the depths of his meanings, he moves them as if he is the one standing behind the puppet theater curtain... moving its puppets... changing their dresses... decorating them... coloring them with a thousand colors and shades... so that the reader-viewer becomes a prisoner of his world and his memory goes back... to approach what the present reveals.
