The collection of Mahmoud Al-Warraq

Mahmoud bin Hassan Al-Warraq (born around the middle of the second Hijri century – died around 250 AH / 864 AD) poet, most of his poetry in admonitions and wisdom. Ibn Abi Al-Dunya narrated from him, and fragments of his poetry appeared in Al-Kamel by Al-Mubarrad. He is the author of the famous line: If the face of excuse is not clear, then rejecting the excuse is better than the excuse. And Adnan Al-Obaidi in Baghdad compiled what was found of his poetry in a published diwan.
