The shell - Mustafa Khalifa

A novel narrating the diaries of a young man who was arrested upon his arrival at his country's airport returning from France and spent twelve years in prison without knowing the charge against him… It is injustice, corruption, and cruelty that are not sanctioned by Sharia… and methods of torture that we have never read about before. The novel is very painful and full of dark events, and voices of horror, pain, and torment rise within it, exhausting and heartbreaking. By the way! The events of the novel Al-Qawqa'a are true, and if not, they are less than true in describing the torture faced by that Syrian young man.
