Product description

Ahlam during the convalescence period by Naguib Mahfouz ... a unique book in its subject and style, Naguib Mahfouz concluded his creative journey with writing texts that depict fragments and shades of his dreams that he saw during the convalescence period following his stabbing by extremists, adding to them his imagined dreams surrounded by symbols. The dreams of the convalescence period were translated into French and English, and the English translator, Raymond Stock, mentioned that the dreams carry more of Mahfouz's autobiographical biography than the echoes of the autobiography. It was also discussed by the great psychiatrist Yehia El Rakhawy in his book "On the Nature of Dreams and Creativity," analyzing those texts psychologically and commenting on them from the perspective of psychology and humanities.
