For the motive of murder

When the editor Susan Riland obtained the manuscript of the latest novel by its author Alan Conway, she had no reason to believe it would be much different from any of his previous novels. Alan's novels proved to be very successful, which forced Susan to endure Alan's annoying behavior if she wanted to keep her job. Alan's latest novel revolves around a murder in a palace in the quiet English countryside. Yes, there are bodies and an intriguing group of suspects, but the more Susan read, the more she became convinced that another story was hidden within the pages of the manuscript—a story of destructive jealousy, endless greed, unstoppable ambition, and murder...
