Book name: Mukhtarat Al-Karmah Al-Wasmiya Author: Khalil Hassan Khalil Publisher: Al-Karmah Book classification: Novel Number of pages: 448 About the book: "Al-Wasiya" is one of the most beautiful Arab novel biographies, written by Khalil Hassan Khalil to record the conditions of people and authority, the owners and the slaves, the land and belonging, social movement and factors of change, and to chronicle Egypt during the royal era socially and politically, revealing a society of parasitic exploiters that made the country "Wasmiya" where foreign owners and those in power dominate the peasants and the impoverished. "Al-Wasiya" narrates the interesting story of a young rural man deprived of education, who worked in the master's service under the weight of poverty, then volunteered in the army, persevered, and self-educated until he obtained a law degree, but his excellence did not qualify him for a suitable position in the judiciary or university teaching because he was a peasant son of a peasant. However, he did not give up, and traveled abroad on a scholarship to prepare for a doctorate.
