Return to the city of the white donkeys and other poems

Book name: Return to the City of White Donkeys and Other Poems Author: James Tait Publisher: Lines and Shadows Book classification: Novel Number of pages: 170 About the book: American poet James Tait is considered one of the most prominent poets who dedicated poetry to the everyday, the neglected, the absurd, and distancing it from noise, grand ideas, and intense emotions. Most of Tait's poems seem like short stories filled with humor and bitterness. Tait believes that poetry is a unique experience of attention that works to save important details of life from forgetfulness and death. Tait does not see poetry as a means to discover our relationships with people.
