Show me

Author: Khawla Hamdi Publisher: Kayan House Number of pages: 430 Calm your breath, and direct your gaze towards the towering mountains in front of you. Saliva dries up and your tongue is tied. How many ages have passed since you last addressed Him? Your final decision to worship your Creator in your own way has remained hanging. How many barren nights have passed in which you failed to converse with Him despite your attempts? Have you forgotten what solitude with your Lord is like? Or do you know no way but the old paths you have despised? Once you were like حيَّ بن يقظان on an abandoned island, so can you be Moses tonight? You whisper softly so that no one else hears, despite the silence surrounding you, but you are certain that He counts your movements and stillness, and nothing of your inner feelings escapes Him. Your words come out trembling and faint, like a long, exhausted sigh: Oh Lord, my God... my Creator... whatever your name is... show me so I may look at You!
