Music is black and other stories

Black music and other stories by William Faulkner Publisher: Kalima Project Type: Paperback Normal cover Publisher's note: Harsh stories like bullets in which William Faulkner evokes the intimate fabrics of the place, and the deep layers of history and legend, and everything that a person may feel of fear, tenderness, savagery, and cruelty. The events of these stories take place during World War I. Faulkner's characters, including women and ordinary men, are so powerful and bright that the reader cannot forget them, to the extent that the characters in most other stories seem dull in comparison.
