When he finished his studies in philosophy, he realized that his inclination was not towards strict research or the rigidity of argument and proof, and thus he dedicated the writer's drive and momentum to creating literary projects. In his pursuit to shape himself in this sense, he returned to school and obtained a master's degree in creative writing from the National University of Colombia, where he graduated in 2010. Currently, he divides his time between writing and working as a university teacher, while the novel "Madulia" is his first literary work.
