With Borges

Book name: With Borges Author: Alberto Manguelder Publisher: Al-Saqi Book category: Self-development Number of pages: 112 About the book: In Buenos Aires, in 1964, a blind writer approaches a sixteen-year-old library clerk and asks if he is interested in part-time work as a voice reader. The writer was Jorge Luis Borges, one of the most delicate literary minds in the world; and the boy was Alberto Manguelder, who later became a renowned author and book lover worldwide. Young Manguelder spent several years reading aloud and recording what Borges said as a mystery. Here, he faithfully and warmly recalls that time, presenting us with an intimate and touching portrait of one of the great stars of literature.
