Philosophy and renewal

Book name: Philosophy and renewal Author: Ali Abdulhadi Al-Marhaj Publisher: Shahrayar Book classification: Philosophy Number of pages: 270 About the book: Renewal is reviving the old with rejecting some of its old elements and adding new elements derived from the present, as for reform it is nothing but restoring the past while preserving all its elements, and trying to cast and shape it according to its previous model, whereas enlightenment derives its energy from a previous heritage. But it does not rely on knowledge nor accept it as truth unless it has been examined and scrutinized rationally that it is so, meaning that recycling is not restoring the past as it is.
