Product description
The mind is God's greatest blessing upon humans, it is the basis of obligation in religion and the place of accountability, and it is the pillar of the world. With the completeness of the mind in humans, religion becomes obligatory upon them; as for the world, it cannot function without the mind because it is its effective manager. Through it, the truths of matters are known, people's interests are served, and their benefits—without which the world cannot stand—are facilitated. Proper dealings among people are based on sound thinking and integrity, even in the smallest matters. Although humans differ in their aims and goals, the mind is the only possible means of understanding among them. Language is nothing but an expression of what is in a person's mind, as well as an expression of their feelings; but feelings without the mind are a means of destruction because they then become a path to illusion. To prevent us from living in illusions, this book was written. This book is a scholarly work aimed at clarifying the bright face of Islamic civilization and its foundation on the mind and its reliance on it. It is not only a historical account of the intellectual aspects of life in Islam but also an explanation of the value of using the mind, and how the great renaissance of Muslims came through sound and constructive thinking. Truly, it has been said: the mind is the best hope, and ignorance is the most bitter enemy.
