Product description
Maan bin Aws Al-Muzni, a noble poet from the elders of Jahiliyyah and Islam, and he was the infant of Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr, and he was a companion to him. He has eulogies for a group of the companions, including Saeed bin Al-Aasi, Aasim bin Omar bin Al-Khattab, and Ubaidullah bin Al-Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib. He died in the year 64 AH. In this book, Dr. Hatim Saleh Al-Dhamin presents to us "Diwan Maan bin Aws Al-Muzni" in a new, revised edition, which is the result of thirty-five years of follow-up on books that contain poems by Maan Al-Muzni. More than sixty books were relied upon in this edition, and he added explanations of the words in the poems, their sources, and their references. The diwan came in three sections: The first section includes Maan Al-Muzni's poetry as narrated by Abu Ali Al-Qali, as it appeared in the "La" edition of "Yabzik," and the author added some verses, explained some of the words, the differences in narration, and verified the evidences cited by Al-Qali in his explanation. He also verified the verses of each poem from other sources. The total number of verses in the "La Yabzik" edition of the diwan is 257. The author added seven verses to it. The second section includes Maan's poetry outside the diwan, where the author referred to old sources and collections of poetry, gathering poems, fragments, and verses, arranging them alphabetically, and breaking down the vocabulary of each rhyme according to its vowels: damma, fatha, kasra, and sukoon. The connected words are also separated by a hamza from the root, with the connected pronoun being masculine, and some of the words that need explanation are clarified.
