It is well known that the book of the French philosopher René Descartes (Discourse on Method is one of the pillars of modern Western philosophy, which exerted an unparalleled influence on global philosophical thought. The Dar Al-Rafidain found no better than the experienced translation undertaken by Professor Mahmoud Mohamed Al-Khudairy, may Allah have mercy on him, who was bold, adventurous, and highly creative in transferring this philosophical text into the Arabic language with skill, honesty, and an unmatched love for wisdom and philosophical speech. This translation was published in Egypt in 1930, and at that time it appealed to the philosophy audience in Arab countries without competition. It was repeatedly reprinted, first in 1968 with the editing and review of Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Helmy, then again in 2003. Another new Arabic translation of the text appeared under the title "حديث الطريقة" ("The Way of Talk") with translation, commentary, and explanation by Dr. Omar Al-Sharni in 2008. The importance of René Descartes' philosophy lies in his role as a philosopher from one perspective, and in the pioneering rigor of Al-Khudairy's translation of this ancient philosophical text from another perspective. We present to the Arab reader this precious philosophical journey. Number of pages: 199 Year of publication: 2021 Publisher: Dar Al-Rafidain for Publishing and Distribution
