The world of God - Naguib Mahfouz

Fourteen stories mainly revolve around the essence of life and death, and raise many questions that occupied Naguib Mahfouz throughout his life, such as the question of existence, the absolute, and faith. An example is the story "Zabalawi" which deeply expresses the existential crisis of man, through a journey experienced by the hero searching for Sheikh Zabalawi, who is known for miracles and holds the cure for his suffering, until the Sheikh comes to him during his sleep without him seeing him with the eye, but he is reassured of his true nature in the end. Thus, this story is considered an example of Naguib Mahfouz's intellectual journey, as well as a rare story from the unique collection. One of Mahfouz's most important story collections.
