A brief about the novel I'jam by Sinan Antoanan. The Alef was arrogantly hanging from the door and was shining with a magical purple light that lit up my night. He stood in front of me and took off the Hamza that he was wearing on his head like a hat. He threw it behind him, and it hit the wall, which suddenly turned into a large mirror. He bowed to me respectfully and then pointed to the letter Ba, which had already peeked out its head, to enter. Ba entered, followed by Ta and Tha. I removed their dots after they also bowed to me. Every letter then looked at itself in the mirrors and laughed, then started dancing, jumping, and spinning. The letters entered one after another... Jeem, Ha, Khah, then Dal, Dhal, Ra, Zay, Seen, and Sheen. Laughter increased, and the dots fell one after another. The letters that did not carry dots began to lift the dots from the ground and place them on their bodies, heads, or underneath, then look into the mirror. Others started teasing their sisters, stealing their dots before they could remove them. Seen stole Sheen's dots and laughed loudly, then placed his index finger on his mouth, saying: "Shhhhh." Lam picked up the Hamza of Alef and started shouting, "Kaf, I am." Hah and Waw stood in the corner laughing. Meem lay on his stomach, raised his head, and wore two dots he picked up from the ground. Playful laughter rose, and the letters danced everywhere, engaging with each other in different and forbidden positions. Then, the mirror broke, and soldiers stormed the party, opening fire with their machine guns at the fallen letters. I woke up to find myself here (K).
