Kateya - Tolstoy

A rich novel that was able to impose itself on the map of world literature, and has gained a high status and great interest among writers and authors since its first publication at the end of the eighteenth century. It is a realistic novel with a deep philosophical vision that talks about (Katia) who falls in love with her father's friend, and agrees to marry him despite the large age difference between them. Then she moves to live with him a simple life in the countryside, but she quickly becomes bored and moves to live in the city, where she immerses herself in her lively life, associates with the upper class, her relationship with her husband collapses, and they separate; then they return again to the countryside, each reconciles with himself and with the other, and (Katia) discovers that true happiness is in purity, clarity, and simple life.
