This variation in elevations contributes to developing a wide spectrum of unique and distinctive flavors that the coffee grown there is famous for. The harvest season in Bener Meria begins in late October and continues until the end of June. The timing of the harvest varies according to elevation, with lower areas harvesting first, followed by higher areas, allowing for the collection of crops over several months. Coffee processed by drying, like this batch, is among the most difficult types to produce in Indonesia. It requires keeping everything fully organic and natural, which increases the challenges and risks associated with production. In this method, the coffee beans are dried directly under the sun without removing the outer shell or washing the beans, as in other methods, giving it a distinctive character and a unique flavor that reflects the rich nature of the region.
