Product description

A new harvest from the beloved farmers, the three brothers Mendiz, specifically suitable for espresso lovers and milk drinks, and also suitable for the farm filter: Los Tres Botros, three brothers from the Mendiz family. Area: Concepción de Ataco, Ahuachapán, western El Salvador. Elevation: up to 1850 meters above sea level. Processing method: dried. Variety: Red Bourbon. Notes: peach, pineapple, apricot, plum. We meet annually with the Mendiz brothers on our journeys to explore coffee farms, their farmers, and their stories around the world, and we tell you the story of the harvest from the selection journey. Our last meeting with them was in El Salvador during the participation of the Roasting House in giving a speech about Saudi coffee and specialty coffee in the Middle East at the Coffee Farmers and Roasters Conference. Year after year, our desire to work with the three brothers and their distinctive harvests grows, until we succeeded with the full harvest of this exceptional variety, "Red Bourbon," which was selected by the Salvadoran Coffee Research Institute (ProCafe). Tres Botros in Spanish means "The Three Horses," referring to the three brothers, and today the farm is managed by Carlos, Gerardo, and their families. The brothers' harvests have won several awards, including the Elite Cup for several years, awards for the best harvests in El Salvador, and the "Presidential Coffee" award. The farm's members care for the environment through a watering system that collects rainwater to ensure continuous irrigation, and they grow coffee under the shade of trees in this protected forest, along with other crops such as oranges, avocados, and mangoes, which contribute to providing additional income sources for the farm and diversify the food sources for the worlds within it. The farm and its residences are powered by solar energy to help preserve the environment. Our experiences with many Salvadoran harvests give us exceptional results in preparing espresso, so we chose a roasting recipe that uniquely complements espresso, producing bright flavors in the cup resembling peach, pineapple, and apricot, blending gently with milk for its various drinks, and suitable for elegant and distinguished filtration use. Our story with the Mendiz family from the farm, to you!
