Zhaar

Limited edition perfume - 180 bottles. The air flourishes, moist and luminous with a mist of ylang-ylang orange blossom. Impression of citruses, absolute orange blossom, neroli oil, pink pepper, Moroccan pine, Davana, Petigrain, gardenia, galbanum. The Levant pine, jasmine, green oak, amber, Atlas cedar absolute, ambrette seeds disappear. Perfume notes: While researching our travel notes archive, we discovered a composition created to capture memories of fresh orange blossom distillation. Imagine yourself surrounded by air filled with these wonderful small flowers as they transform from a living flower into a wonderful oil. The experience was like immersing in a fog rolling from the sea, a phenomenon we refer to as "haar" in Scotland. The delicious water produced by orange blossom distillation is called "zhar" in Morocco. My intention was to capture this precious and fleeting moment — soft vapors like petals falling like fog — and the delicate flavor of the waters. Many of the materials used in ZHAAR perfume are derived from orange blossom growing regions (or are widely used throughout these areas), and the scent of the rising flowers is linked to these travel memories. It is a delicate enough scent to convey and revive this memory, but strong enough to last all day in the hottest and most humid climates — ZHAAR perfume was a fragrance I prepare every May for my personal use, in anticipation of the coming summer months.
