Product description

The perfume description: "Death, blood, struggle awaits me. But freedom is worth all this, for I am just a slave but I will be able to earn a new life. I will turn the tension that paralyzes me into strength." Rudis is dedicated to a great virtue: strength. Rudis is the name given to victorious gladiators as a keepsake, and it is a wooden sword, which was a tool but also a symbol of freedom: the gladiator no longer a slave! To overcome his fear before entering the arena, the gladiator drank apple juice made from dried fruits and grapes. But why do we talk about gladiators in the twenty-first century? Massimo Nobile believes that today, all professionals and businessmen have their own battle to win. That’s why we created a perfume that gives energy for their battles, both mentally and physically. Therefore, the scent inspired by this being had to think at the same time of strength and gentleness, of fight and freedom, of life and death, of masculinity and vulnerability. The box is precious: only five artisans in the world can craft leather in this way. The realization process takes a long time and begins with soaking the leather. Then, using a piece of wood shaped like the bottle used as a guide, they take the wet leather and wrap the first side around the wood and bake it in an oven. The next step is to soak the leather again following the same process for each side and the curves that form the box. After this complex process, you cannot see joints or stitches, and the leather is as hard as a piece of wood. In the final step, it is painted and cut into salami-like slices before working inside. The box can only be closed in one way, depending on how it is cut. There are two points that serve as a guide to close the lid properly. 2015 FIFI Award winner in Russia.
