It is a dizzying whirl of rum drink, red wine, smoked tobacco, fizzy cola, and fiery spices that create an undeniable evocation of the high peaks and emotional depths of young lovers risking it all night after night. Comme Un Carrousel is surprisingly complex, deeply nostalgic, and the best party I attended myself at age 17.
