Product description

Sylvia wrote to her mother: "I need money, I will open a library." From here, Sylvia tried to borrow in order to obtain enough money to establish a large cultural project, provide what the reader needs, and attract as many as possible so that the library would be a cultural beacon she dreamed of building. In this book, Sylvia Beach presents her memoirs in the journey of success, how she started, showcasing the obstacles she faced, as well as narrating her stories with visitors from readers, writers, and some publishers, who contributed greatly to the success of the library. Sylvia also shared her experience in the world of publishing; this experience was a qualitative leap in the history of the library, especially since she did not publish many books, but her main focus was printing and publishing James Joyce's famous work Ulysses.
