Herman Hesse

The German novelist Hermann Hesse tells us - with his distinguished beautiful style - the story of a creative artist, who took refuge in his art in facing a harsh destiny that struck him in his dearest and most beloved people, and turned his life into a terrible continuous ordeal, which he endured nobly and loftily, with self-denial, and transformed it into artistic masterpieces that beautify our lives and elevate them.
