Product description
Published "Peter Pan" or "The Boy Who Never Grows Up" for the first time in 1904. It was written by Barrie in memory of his brother who died in a skiing accident before reaching the age of fourteen, and his mother always saw him as a boy forever. Since then, Peter has become an icon of youth and innocence, and this prompted James Matthew Barrie to commission sculptor George Frampton to create a statue of Peter to be placed at night in Kensington Gardens, as a surprise for London children on May Day holiday, for the boy who does not know aging in any other way. The country from which Peter comes is the land of dreams, Neverland, from which we all came one day, and forgot the moment we ceased to believe in dreams and the dust of genes and our ability to soar high. Traveling with Peter Pan gives us, once again, the chance to return to that island where there are no long distances between adventures, and it becomes very real before you fall asleep by two minutes. What are you waiting for? Take the second turn to the right, then go straight until morning!
