From the initial panic that overwhelmed Sally McBride upon taking on the task until the end of the work, the reader follows, with inspiration and passion, the gentle female strength and its impact on reshaping oneself and the world. This is a novel about growth, change, initiative, and saving the world with a series of small steps moving in the right direction. As we see the John Grier Home grow into a place full of light, we will also see the small shelter director, Sally McBride, transform from a spoiled girl with superficial interests into a mature woman and a capable executive. My nemesis is one of the wonderful novels we all need to read, so we remember our rightful place in the world and act accordingly. But the ones who need to read it the most are young people, because it would be very wonderful to go into the future with skillful hands and a good mind. This world we live in needs many hands and minds, in the way Sally McBride does.
