Small death | Muhammad Hassan Alwan

Since Allah created me in Marsa until He took me in Damascus and I am in an unending journey. I saw countries and met people and accompanied saints and lived under the rule of the Muwahhidun, Ayyubids, Abbasids, and Seljuks on a path that Allah destined for me before my creation. Whoever is born in a besieged city is born with a fierce desire to go beyond the walls. The believer is in constant travel. And all existence is travel within travel. Whoever leaves travel settles, and whoever settles returns to nothingness. A beautiful novel, worth reading.
