A pressure gauge is an essential instrument for monitoring gas pressure inside a tank, ensuring safe and efficient operation. For a 1000-liter above-ground gas tank, the gauge must be able to handle the pressure of the evaporating gas, which varies with temperature.

Recommended specifications:

• Measurement range: The gauge's measurement range must be suitable for the expected pressure in the tank. In the case of liquefied gas (such as propane), the pressure can range from a few bar in cold weather to approximately 10-15 bar in hot weather. Therefore, a gauge with a range of up to 16 or 25 bar is recommended to ensure an accurate and safe reading in all conditions.
• Gas type: The clock must be specifically designed for use with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or the type of gas in the tank. This ensures that the materials used in the clock are resistant to corrosion from the gas.
• Material of manufacture: It is preferable that the clock be made of corrosion- and rust-resistant materials, such as stainless steel , to ensure a long lifespan, especially since the tank is above ground and exposed to weather conditions.
• Connection size: Ensure the clock connection matches the mounting connection on the tank. Connections commonly used are ½ inch or ¼ inch .
• Design: Ideally, the watch should have a clear dial and an easy-to-read indicator, with distinctive markings for safe and unsafe areas.
