What is Miconazole nitrate used for: This medicine is used to treat vaginal yeast infection. Miconazole reduces burning, itching, and discharge that may occur with this condition. This medicine is an azole antifungal. It works by stopping the growth of fungi causing the infection. Do not use Miconazole nitrate if you are allergic to the active substance or any other component of this medicine, or any other antifungal medicine.
