Dosages can be adjusted according to the severity of the disorder being treated and individual patient response. Menstrual regulation: It is possible to achieve a 28-day cycle by giving one Dydrogesterone tablet daily from the eleventh to the twenty-fifth day of the cycle. Endometrial: 1 to 3 tablets of Dydrogesterone daily from the fifth to the twenty-fifth day of the cycle or throughout the entire cycle. Doses of 10 mg should be distributed several times throughout the day. It is preferable to start treatment with the highest dose. Dysmenorrhea: 1 to 2 tablets of Dydrogesterone daily from the fifth to the twenty-fifth day of the cycle. Doses of 10 mg should be distributed several times throughout the day. It is preferable to start treatment with the highest dose. Infertility due to corpus luteum insufficiency: One tablet of Dydrogesterone daily from the fourteenth to the twenty-fifth day of the cycle. The treatment should continue for at least 6 consecutive cycles. It is advised to continue this treatment for the first months of any pregnancy with doses as specified for normal abortion. Risk of miscarriage: Starting dose: 4 tablets of Dydrogesterone at once followed by one tablet of Dydrogesterone 10 mg every 8 hours. Doses of 10 mg should be distributed several times throughout the day. It is preferable to start treatment with the highest dose. If symptoms persist or recur during treatment, the dose should be increased by one tablet of Dydrogesterone every 8 hours. The effective dose should be maintained for one week after symptoms cease; then it can be gradually reduced. If symptoms recur, treatment should be resumed immediately at the effective dose. Recurrent miscarriage: One tablet of Dydrogesterone daily until the twentieth week of pregnancy; then the dose can be gradually reduced. It is preferable to start treatment before pregnancy. If threatened miscarriage symptoms occur during treatment, the treatment should be continued as described for this indicator. Irregular uterine bleeding: Stop bleeding with two tablets of Dydrogesterone daily for 5 to 7 days. Blood loss significantly decreases within a few days. A few days after this treatment ends, withdrawal bleeding occurs sharply, and the patient should be warned of this. Excessive bleeding can be prevented by prescribing a prophylactic dose of one tablet of Dydrogesterone daily from the eleventh to the twenty-fifth day of the cycle, if necessary with estrogen for 2 to 3 cycles. After that, treatment can be stopped to ensure the cycle returns to normal. Secondary amenorrhea: 1 or 2 tablets of Dydrogesterone daily from the eleventh to the twenty-fifth day of the cycle to give optimal endometrial secretion transfer, adequately prepared with internal or external estrogen. Premenstrual syndrome: 10 mg twice daily from day 11 to day 26 of the cycle. Dydrogesterone is not suitable for use before menstruation.
