When using a SIP account with multiple devices, you can choose the ringtone mode that suits your needs. Here is an explanation of the options you mentioned:
Circular Mode: In this mode, phones ring sequentially from the neighboring phone to the one that answered last. This means calls circulate between devices in a circular order, helping to distribute calls evenly among the devices.
Linear Mode: All phones ring sequentially according to a pre-set order. For example, if you have three phones and the order is set as: Phone 1, Phone 2, Phone 3, then Phone 1 rings first, and if unanswered, Phone 2 rings, then Phone 3 if Phone 2 is unanswered.
Parallel Mode: In this mode, all phones ring at the same time. Once one phone answers, the other phones can continue to receive new calls, providing quick response to incoming calls.
DID Mode: Here, multiple phones can connect to the same account, but all incoming calls are directed to only one phone. This means all calls will go to a pre-selected device, even if multiple devices are connected to the same account.
Choosing the appropriate mode depends on how you manage calls in your environment, your team’s needs, and your personal preferences.
