The deep cleansing formula provides exfoliation and detoxification to reveal healthy skin. Humble beginnings Nubian Heritage was born from the ideas of two street vendors in New York. In 1992, Rich and Nima graduated from college without jobs and took on the mission of producing luxurious natural products from traditional African recipes with fair trade ingredients. Today, Nubian Heritage offers natural products based on authentic traditional recipes inspired by ancient global healing philosophies. Although Nubian Heritage products are no longer made in bathtubs; little has changed in our company, as we still produce our products ourselves from traded ingredients according to fair trade practices, and we invest in community trade exchange. Heritage For centuries, African Black Soap has been used in Africa to cleanse and care for the skin. Historical references to shea butter, a staple in African pharmacology, indicate shea butter caravans that were in Egypt during the time of Cleopatra.
