The iconic story: CŒUR is a tribute to the designer's lucky charm — Cœur Fétiche: an asymmetrical heart-shaped jewel, set with smoky gray diamonds, red crystals, and pearls. Crafted by a French jeweler for Saint Laurent, it has been worn by his favorite muses in every fashion show since 1962. Each season, the heart was delivered the day before the show to be placed around the neck of his chosen model.

Designed by perfumer Daniela Andrier, who describes it as: "CŒUR is the essence of YSL collisions. Hot and cold. Woven and evaporated. Vibrant and sensual."

The opening shocks with a bold contrast: the aldehydes, with their sharp metallic coolness — penetrating the resinous depth with icy precision and creating a metallic sheen uncommon in classic amber compositions — with the heart of Guatemalan cardamom with its sophisticated spicy warmth.

The heart unfolds with rare luxury: French Iris Butter—distilled from the noble Iris pallida, requiring a laborious three-year journey from cultivation to harvest. It reveals powdery, buttery facets with hints of raspberry, violet, and pepper. It is accompanied by Moroccan Ourika Lavender (Scent Trek™ exclusive to YSL) and a delicate floral accord.

The base ignites with a warm sensuality: an amber accord with its captivating physical aura, a smooth almond accord, Virginia cedar absolute, Indonesian patchouli, myrrh absolute, cistus absolute, and musk. A magnetic trail that leaves a burning mark on the skin.
