The land of the sad orange

The book Land of the Sad Orange by Ghassan Kanafani ... "Land of the Sad Orange" is the second story collection published by the Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani, and it includes a number of stories that address the experience of the Palestinian people after the Nakba of 1948, especially from a deep human and emotional perspective, through depicting displacement, exile, poverty, brokenness, and loss of homeland. The stories focus on individuals and families who suddenly found themselves without a homeland or a home, carrying much of the sad poeticism and political symbolism, with a deep psychological portrayal of the displaced Palestinian experience.
